Tricia's Coaching Philosophy:

I believe in being PRO-ACTIVE! If you really want something- you should GO FOR IT! Dream your dreams, devise wildly terrific plans, and then go all in to achieve your goals. I love helping people realize that "anything is possible" as I have witnessed many miraculous transformations during my career as a Physical Therapist and as a Coach. I also believe that building strong foundations and strong technical skills are imperative to success in endurance sports, and that the mind is a powerful tool- often underestimated. I do believe that a good coach needs to be able to understand each individual athlete, their hopes, desires and true motivations to unlock truly amazing performances in and out of competition. Let me help you on your journey and help you realize that you are a powerful and amazing athlete

Background:

I am a Canadian trained Physical Therapist and have been practicing throughout the US and Canada since 1995. I have been assisting athletes in preventing and rehabilitating injuries for years with my solid knowledge and understanding of how the body functions.I started mountain bike racing when I was 18 years old in Canada and did my first triathlon in 1999- it just happened to be an Xterra Championship in Richmond, VA. When I finished, I thought "this is the hardest thing I have ever done" and I have been hooked on finding events to push my own limits ever since. After experiencing many injuries and a few knee surgeries, I was inspired to help others avoid my own mistakes and become an expert in recovery and rehabilitative strategies. Being able to achieve your goals while having a great time and balancing a career and family are very important pieces of the training puzzle. I am committed to providing each of my athletes with the best possible experience. Let me connect with you and figure out your unique strengths and weaknesses and develop a program tailored toward your life and personal goals.

Personal accomplishments include:

  • 2 time finisher of Xterra World Championships
  • 2 time Ironman Finisher (St. George and Canada)
  • TransRockies Mountain Bike Stage Race Finisher
  • BC Bike Race Finisher – 2nd place Masters Female
