FOOLS 50k and 25k

Mark your calendar, registration for Fools 50k and 25k opens tomorrow, October 1st.

The Fools 50K and 25K Trail Run is a favorite among local trail runners. It is a 25K looped course through Virginia Kendall Park in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park in Peninsula, OH. The nearly 100% trail course (you do have to cross a road or two) is very runnable, it features some highly technical single-track trails and some challenging hills. Don't wait, this race is known to sell out!

Fools Details

GREEN JEWEL 50k and 2 PERSON RELAY

This race is a gem! It takes you on a tour of the extensive system of nature preserves in The Cleveland Metroparks, unofficially called the Emerald Necklace. The course meanders south on the all-purpose trail starting from Scenic Park Picnic Area in Rocky River Reservation, through Mill Stream Run, and ending at Oak Grove Picnic Area in Brecksville Reservation.

Green Jewel also features a 2 person relay with an exchange point at Wallace Lake.

Though the course steadily climbs in elevation, this is considered a fast 50K.

BOBCAT TRAIL MARATHON

You trained for Akron and conquered the blue line! Don't ease up on your mileage just yet, try 26.2 on the trails.

The Bobcat Trail Marathon is a single loop course with rolling hills within Burr Oak State Park, including hiking and bridle trails as well as portions of the Buckeye Trail. Approximately 90% trail and 10% asphalt, you are going to love this challenge. The course is well-marked with several creek crossings and plenty of well-stocked aid stations.
