Honoring Joshua Freeman's Legacy...

At this year's Silver Linings Gala, a legacy award will be presented to Michelle Freeman, President of the Carl M. Freeman Foundation, and President and CEO of the Carl M. Freeman Companies,  in memory of her late husband, Joshua Freeman.

In 2005, the Carl M. Freeman Foundation granted its first ever $100,000 Opportunity Grant to Hospice Caring, Inc. for the construction of a training wing onto the Cottage in Bohrer Park, Gaithersburg, where we are located. The Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for this addition took place just a few weeks after Joshua's tragic death in a helicopter accident in 2006.

"The irony of this all is not lost on me," noted Michelle, remembering that one of her husband's last projects was focused on helping others feel comfort at the end of their lives. (click here to read more)
