Rural & Isolated Practice Nursing Forum

  • Do you want to know how the Rural and Isolated Nursing Model could benefit your organisation or your nursing practice?
  • Are you wondering how to embed this role into your current team and processes?
  • Do you want to get some practical insights into what it means to be a RIPRN nurse?
  • Do you want to refresh some core clinical skills for your emergency care?  OR
  • Do you just want to celebrate the graduation of the newest cohort of RIPRNs in Victoria?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, then this 2-day Forum is for you.

Day 1:  Provides an opportunity to learn all about the RIPRN Model, how to enable RIPRNs to operate at their highest levels and to celebrate the graduation of the Cohort 3 RIPRN.  Especially good for health service managers and those who are new to the RIPRN Model.  We will have presentations from the Chief Nurse/Midwife of Victoria, panel discussions, a presentation on the medico-legal ramifications of the advanced nursing role, and more.

(First day is free for Graduating RIPRNs)

Day 2: Provides RIPRN and non-RIPRNs with an opportunity to refresh key clinical skills (including clinical assessment, wound management, suturing, and soft tissue injuries; cardiac presentations, etc) and the keys to autonomous, collaborative practice.  Especially good for RIPRNs and non-RIPRNs who want to bone up or show off their clinical skills and collaborative effectiveness.

Come to one or both days.
