AUCTION PETITIONS FOR RECONSIDERATION OPPOSITION FILINGS START COUNTDOWN CLOCK
Even though the auction itself has now been pushed back at least six more months to early 2016, the process continues on.  On Friday, notice was given that the countdown clock on opposition to Petitions for Reconsideration were filed, and that filers have until Wednesday, November 12th to file an opposition to them.  Here is the list of them and there links in the Proceedings.

SECOND REPORT AND ORDER AND FURTHER NOTICE OF PROPOSED RULEMAKING (INTER-SERVICE INTERFERENCE ISSUES)
This item came out earlier last week and was overshadowed by the delay in the auction news.  It is filled with technical data which LPTV engineers need to go over and make sure it makes sense.  Let us know if you see something we need to be concerned about.   Inter-service Interference

MEDIA BUREAU EXTENDS COMMENT DATE FOR DRAFT TV BROADCASTER RELOCATION FUND REIMBURSEMENT FORM
Comments regarding the relocation funding reimbursements are now due in late November.  They are important for our Class-A friends, and they are now also important for all LPTV.  With the House asking for the GAO study on auction impacts we need to all figure out our potential relocation costs according to the formal FCC guidelines.  Here is the FCC document and forms.  Look them over and see how they could apply to your station(s), and let us know if they need adjustment for LPTV.   Relocation Fund Reimbursements

WHITE SPACES AND FIXED BROADBAND NPRM
LPTV needs to carefully address and comment within this Proceeding about TV White Spaces and fixed broadband.  It is our near-term future also in many markets and we need to be able to fight back against further taking of spectrum from us.
