Greetings from Olsson Associates

Mike Piernicky
The ground is thawing, and we're all enjoying the greening grass and blooming flowers that signal winter's end and the arrival of spring. It also means we're able to start our field work in earnest!

In this month's e-newsletter issue, we bring information on how your community can leverage scarce stormwater and drainage funding dollars by applying for water quality improvement funds. This is an interesting concept where we're seeing great success.

Omaha's new Sterling Ridge development, for which Olsson has provided many services, is progressing very well and we've got information on the latest developments there.

We're also very pleased to note that Katie Underwood, project engineer for our Land Development team, has advanced to the May 14 general election for consideration for the Omaha Public Schools board. Best of luck, Katie!

As always, I welcome your questions or feedback. Please don't hesitate to contact me.

Sterling Ridge Project Progressing

Sterling Ridge, a 150-acre mixed-use development located on the southeast corner of 132nd and Pacific Street at the former Ironwood Golf Course, is seeing steady progress since the project began in 2010. Recently, work began on a new 60,000-square-foot office building and workers are finishing up Millard Refrigerated Services' new 90,000-square-foot headquarters (shown above).

Olsson has contributed to this site's development through its land development, transportation, environmental, and other services.
