Sailing to Ecuador?

Yoga Classes Begin in Salinas
Weekly Yoga classes begin each Tuesday, starting September 23, at 9am at Hotel Amira in Chipipe. See Hotel Amira, click here..
Each 60 to 75 minute class is $4. Students are asked to bring something to put on the floor of this beautiful setting, and a thin blanket for the meditation.
Instructor Lucia Nux, an Osteopath, has been practicing yoga since 1995. New to Salinas, Lucia studied yoga from her East Indian Yoga Master Chandra Nobeen, in Lucia's homeland of France.....

As per some requests, Dr Juan Carlos, the Plastic Surgeon familiar to many of you, is coming to Salinas on Sat. Oct. 4th at noon for 3 procedures:
1. Botox -$200
2. Juviderm for lips - $150/ vial
3. Fat from own body for lips -$120
I will make appointments on a first come first serve basis. He will also do free consultations (normally $80 + a trip to Guayaquil).
We need a minimum of 5 ladies/men and no more than 10.

A Very Merry Muey Christmas...
Update from the Salinas Ladies' Coffee Klatch
Yes, Dominica, there is a Santa Claus! Thanks to the love and generosity of the Salinas Ladies Coffee Klatch, their friends and family, all of their Facebook Friends and the Santa Elena community . . . ALL 285 children of the Oasis Tamayense School in Muey are adopted! Less than 8 weeks since the women took on this task, and now they know for sure it will be a huge success. It is an honor and privilege to be able to say THANK YOU and GOD BLESS US, EVERYONE!
If you missed out on adopting one of the children, the organization is still accepting donations for small gifts to fill up the stockings each child will receive. They would also like to be able to give a small gift to each of the nine very dedicated teachers who spend every week day with these precious kids. Salinas Cultural Society - Auditions - Come on Down!!
After auditions Saturday, September 20th for the October 30 & 31 SCS one act plays at Centro de Arte, we came up short of enough actors and stage hands....
Come on down!
The next auditions are Thursday the 25th of September at 3:30pm at Centro de Arte Sill Life - the story of an artist facing the biggest challenges of her career, was beautifully auditioned by Kim Kegan. Her encouraging friend was successfully auditioned by "Smitty." Snack Time - is a solo hiking adventure that turns into an interaction with nature and the supernatural. Heather fell right into the role of a gal having to make the trip alone, and Smitty was great as a coyote. However, everyone agreed that One of the 12 Angry Pigs just has to audition for the role of the Devil in a Business Suit. |
Opinion-Editorial: Birthday Dream-Come-True

Last night (Thursday), about 8:30pm, my husband Don returned home. He was glowing. A man from Peru named Jorge had invited Don to join him for a day of sailing. There were two other sailboat owners on board. All three are members of the Salinas Yacht Club (about $75K to join). The boat was a 60' catamaran, not long having made the trip from France where it was purchased. Don said, "It had every bell and whistle."
