Fundraising for Our School
     Buy farm-fresh products from Farmigo!
This year, our fifth graders are working on a project to help supplement the cost of their field trips.
We have partnered with a company called Farmigo.

Farmigo will deliver farm-fresh products to our school site. We believe that this partnership with Farmigo will provide a leadership opportunity for our 5th graders to coordinate and deliver the food, promote healthy living and food connections to our WG families, and help supplement the cost of planned 5th-grade field trips.

We would really appreciate your help in getting this program started. This is how it works:
  1. CLICK HERE to view the WG Farmigo website.
  2. Customers order products online by Sunday night.
  3. Products are delivered to school every Wednesday.
  4. Customers pick up produce in designated area or 5th grade will deliver products (We are still working this part out)
Our first Walnut Grove delivery is scheduled for Wednesday, September 24. This means that all orders need to be submitted online by Sunday night, September 21.

**  For your first order, Farmigo is offering a coupon. The coupon is for $10 off any $20 order. Use this coupon code: SCHOOLSBACK

Turn in your Box Tops today to help our school!

Every Box Top clip is worth 10 cents. For the 2013/14 school year, we collected $1,194.70! Let's try to beat that number this year!

Simply look for pink Box Tops on products and clip them. Then place the Box Tops in a Ziploc bag, or download a collection sheet and adhere them. Turn in Box Tops in the collection box outside the office.  Make sure your child's name, teacher's name, and grade are clearly labeled for the random drawing.

First drawing will be on September 12. Your child can win an ice cream from the Meadowlark Dairy!

Go to www.BTFE.com, and sign up for coupons, deals, and more ways to earn money for our school!

Are you interested in joining the

School Site Council?

Walnut Grove has 3 vacant seats.

The School Site Council (SSC) consists of parents, teachers, and the principal who work in collaboration to oversee the implementation of the school's improvement plan, known as the Single Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA). Members on the SSC are elected for a two-year term. The SSC meets six times a year and is responsible for establishing school goals designed to improve curriculum and instruction, school organization, and environment. The SSC is also responsible for the approval of special programs funding and school improvement strategies that support and positively impact student achievement.

If you are interested in running for the vacant seats on this year's SSC, please submit a short biography to the Walnut Grove office by Friday, September 12, 2014. Ballots will be sent home to families on Wednesday, September 17 and are due back to the office by Friday, September 19, 2014. Please call the school for more information.
