Paws for Reading

Murphy, a Certified Therapy Dog and her handler, Karen, will be in the Children's Room on Saturday, Oct. 4 from 10:00-11:00am. Sign up ahead of time to read to Murphy or drop by for a visit and a chance to read.

Halloween Happenings

Decorate Your Pumpkin

Calling all 5-12 year olds--bring an uncarved pumpkin to the library on Saturday, October 18 and we will supply you with the materials for decorating fun.

Just drop by anytime between 10:00am-Noon to decorate your pumpkin.

Craft Table

Children of all ages are invited to make a Clip-on Bat at the Creation Station in the Children's Room anytime during the week of October 20-25.

Halloween Stories

Halloween "drop-in" story time (ages 3 & up) will be held on Monday, October 27 @ 7pm in our Story Hour Room. All are welcome-costumes are optional -join us...if you dare!

Halloween Displays

Halloween books, mask designs, party ideas and craft samples (with instructions) will be the theme for our displays for the month.

Saturday, October 11, is Lego Saturday! Legos will be available all day to build and create. Come on in and meet new friends, share your building tips, get new ideas, and have fun!

Library Closed on Columbus Day

The Library will be closed on Monday, Oct. 13 for the Columbus Day holiday.

Friends of the Library Booksale

Don't miss the Friends of the Library Annual Booksale! Doors open at 9am on Friday, October 24 for the Friends of the Library's annual, two-week-long, gigantic fall booksale. Only library cardholders will be able to purchase items on the first day of the sale so be sure to bring your card with you on the 24th! The sale opens to non-cardholders and the general public on Saturday, October 25. Thousands of paperbacks, hardcover books, and media items for all ages will be available at prices from $.50 to $3.00.

Story Time

Toddler Story Time (ages 21-36 months)

(Session II: November 3-December 12)

Registration begins on October 27 @ 9:00am (in person) and @ 9:15am (by phone) and continues until the two groups are filled (limited to Dover Public Library card holders) .
