Who are Sunni and Shi'ite Muslims?

When the militant forces of the Islamic State recently occupied a large portion of the Middle East and declared the establishment of a new country under an Islamic caliph, it became apparent that much of the conflict involved Muslims fighting one another.

 

Specifically, the continuing conflict involves two major sects of Islam: Sunni and Shi'ite. This may prompt us to ask, "What's the difference? Muslims are Muslims, aren't they?"

Does the Bible teach generational curses?

Many Christians struggling with addictive behaviors, bad relationships, or dire circumstances wonder if they are victims of generational curses. In other words, they worry that God is punishing them for the sins of their ancestors.

Jesus in the feasts of Israel

The feasts of Israel are religious celebrations remembering God's great acts of salvation in the history of His people. While there are many religious celebrations in Jewish history and custom, seven are most significant: Passover, Unleavened Bread, Firstfruits, Pentecost, Trumpets, Day of Atonement, and Tabernacles. 

 

God established the timing and sequence of these feasts to reveal to us a special story - most significantly, the work of the Messiah in the redemption of mankind and the establishment of His Kingdom on earth.
