Shaping the Future

by Dr. Jeffrey L. Horstmyer, MD, FAAN
Chairman of Neuroscience Centers of Florida Foundation
Over the past few years, Americans have been engaging in a national conversation over healthcare and healthcare reform - the good, the bad and the ugly!  We at NSCFF believe that these discussions are vital to help craft the road map in shaping our future.
With this in mind, we invite you to engage in the future of healthcare reform with us and learn more about addressing the patient as a whole.

Our Vision of Healthcare

As an innovative leader in healthcare, NSCFF has developed a healthcare delivery model that addresses the three objectives that CMS aims to incorporate into one symbiotic relationship: improve health, improve care, and lower costs. Click here to read more about our delivery model.

Community Connect

As human beings we all need to have a support system.  NSCFF understands that it takes more than doctor visits and prescription medication to combat symptoms.

In addressing a patient's state of health and well-being, NSCFF has taken steps to build a support system of resources so that patients do not have to navigate alone through a network of support services available in their community.  Click here to learn more about community resources.

The Future of Academic
Health Centers

Positioning ourselves as a for-benefit organization in our community, NSCFF is proactively gathering the tools that it will need to move healthcare in South Florida into the future; including tools to assist South Florida's public universities such as Florida International University and Miami Dade College in their move into the future.

In a recent Association of American Medical Colleges publication: Advancing the Future of Academic Health Centers, the association outlines the problems facing academic health centers in moving into the future and how for-benefit organizations like ours can provide solutions.
