Air Traffic Control Association

A Message from Candidate Chip Meserole

Dear Western Region ATCA Members,

As you may be aware, I am running for the Western Region director position on the ATCA Board. The regional director represents the members of the region and is elected by you, rather than by the entire ATCA membership. For 10 years, I have been an active ATCA member supporting the association's efforts advancing air traffic management in the U.S. and internationally. It has been my privilege to work with the ATCA leadership and staff for many years, and I hope you will support my election to a leadership role by voting at www.surveymonkey.com/s/ATCAElection2014.

ATCA is terrifically effective in promoting its membership's interests through advocacy for dramatic improvements in air traffic capacity, efficiency and safety. Throughout my career in aviation, my greatest satisfaction has come from applying science to enable what has not been done before. Since the congestion of the millennial year, I've been immersed in the challenge of transforming air traffic management using new technologies that are enabling new levels of productivity. For ATCA, I regularly participate in the annual conference and the technical symposium, often as a speaker. Also, I have fostered ATCA's involvement with related technical conferences run by other associations, and I supported ATCA in its partnering with the Civil Air Navigation Services Organization as they established the World ATM Congress in Madrid, Spain.

Toward ever safer and more efficient aviation, the opportunity for us and our organizations in the next few years is to implement new air traffic operations, enabled by current technology, that introduce new benefits to aviation users and providers alike. It is time for us to unleash all the operational value woven in the fabric of success achieved by the NextGen infrastructure programs.

Please help guide us on our path ahead and vote now in this year's ATCA election.

Kind regards,

Chip Meserole
