Fresh Point CT takes the CT 10% Pledge!

The buyCTgrown team recently met with Fresh Point to discuss ways that our current and prospective pledge partners can track their CT product purchases if purchasing through a distributor. 

Fresh Point invites current customers to contact them and they will generate a customer specific report calculating the percentage of purchased product that is CT-sourced. 

Additionally, Fresh Point posts a Market Report listing produce from state-specific farms which can be a great resource when you're looking for wholesale quantities of CT products. This list is updated and posted online with what's fresh and local. A great resource for large and small businesses seeking wholesale prices and quantities for CT produce.

Chad Simoneaux discovered that in the wholesale fish business, you need to find your niche. He did just that by creating a brand for Connecti-caught. Every day Gulf Shrimp is collecting CT caught seafood and shellfish from CT's docks and distributing to local restaurants, caterers and markets. 

As a 10% Partner, Chad asked for small posters that he could distribute to his retail customers to promote his company's commitment to local and the CT 10% Campaign. We were happy to oblige.
