July 21 -- 9-Hole Scramble
|
|
Woodcreek Golf Club
On Monday, July 21 we'll be having a 9-hole Scramble on the Woodcreek front 9 beginning at 5 pm to celebrate the end of Fast Trackers 2014! It will be a shotgun start beginning at 5 pm. We want this scramble to be a great experience for all our no/higher handicap EWGA members. It would nice to see as many lower handicap players join in as possible ... you know how much you like playing with (or watching) better golfers?...everyone does! All of you with handicaps somewhere in between are welcomed to participate in the fun too.
We are getting a special rate of $23 which includes; golf, cart & range balls. You will pay at the course but there is a deadline of July 19 to register. So come on out and join us!

July 27 -- Hit, Switch, & Bitch
|
|
Also known as Chapman format ... but Hit, Switch & Bitch is a more descriptive name!! You and your partner hit your drives. For the second shot you hit the other person's ball. Then you choose which shot is the best and proceed to play out the hole using the alternate shot format.
Sign up with a partner or we can pair you with someone.
The teams will be divided into flights depending on a combination of your handicaps. So come join us at Ancil Hoffman and try something different and enjoy a team play format!
It'll be fun ~ no posting of scores ~ you play as a team ~ so sign up now!

The 10th Annual NCGA Women's Net Championship will be held next Monday and Tuesday, July 21-22 at the Del Monte Golf Course. Of the 45 women starting, our EWGA Chapter has 10 members competing. They are:

| 2014 California Women's Championship |
After 3 days of play July 14, 15, & 16th at Ojai Valley Inn and Spa in Ojai, CA, Lynne Cowan took home the 2nd place award with a combined score of 215. Karen Garcia also played in the tournament but finished out of the top 10.

| 2014 46th Annual Sacramento County Women's Championship |
There's still time to register for the 46th annual Sacramento County Women's Golf Championship at Ancil Hoffman Golf Course on Saturday and Sunday August 2 and 3, 2014. The registration deadline is July 25, 2014.
The tournament is open to all female amateur golfers with a current USGA handicap index. The entry fee is $135 per player. For more information or to register online click HERE. |
