Keep Your Power:
Refuse "Smart" Meters!

NSMA is saddened and outraged by the events that took place in Naperville today.

The city has demonstrated they are willing to go to any means to install these meters - including arresting moms who are exercising their right to protect their property.

The public should be aware that the city will spin this story in their favor and make Jen and Kim out to be wildly irresponsible.

This could not be further from the truth.

The irresponsibility lies with the city and their blatant disregard for the desires and rights of their constituents.

We hope these events have outraged the citizens of Naperville and all citizens whose rights are at being trampled upon.

We are calling on all citizens across the nation who are outraged by these arrests to take action.

Call Gov Pat Quinn 312-814-2121, media outlets, post to their Facebook pages and show up at the next council meeting.

For residents who still have their analog meters, we urge them to stand strong.

Naperville Smart Meter Awareness is a non-profit 501(c)(4) group of concerned citizens educating the public about the risks of wireless smart meters. We are comprised of lawyers, technology professionals, health advocates, accountants, business owners and parents in our community.

Smart meters are currently being installed in Naperville despite a complaint for federal injunction and on-going investigations by the Illinois Attorney General for Open Meetings Act violations by the City of Naperville in conjunction with this project.

Smart meters pose risks in the areas of privacy, costs, security, safety and health and are not a federally mandated program. Our mission is to educate the residents of Naperville by bringing all pertinent information to the public and in doing so, advocate for a smarter solution in Naperville.
