For Summeritaville!

 

Presented by the Outer Banks Chamber of Commerce and Resort Realty, Summeritaville 2014 tickets are now on sale!  This musical event will be held 6- 10 p.m., Friday, August 22, 2014 at REAL Watersports 25706 Highway 12  in Waves. 

 

Summeritaville 2014 will feature: Music from Local Band Johny Waters & Co. ; Freedom Internatioal Steel Drums and Scarleta - Top Nashville Trio!

 

Great food and drinks available from Watermen's Bar & Grille, a Cornhole Tournament and a beach bucket raffle.  Raffle prizes will include gift certificates from area restaurants and gift shops. There will be children's activities including games and art.

Tickets for the music festival are just $10 for adults, $5 for Youth 12-16 and free for those under age 5!  Any help you can offer us in spreading the word is also greatly appreciated.

Flood Insurance Legislative Update 

The Outer Banks Chamber of Commerce, SAGA Construction and Development, and The Willey Agency present, "A Flood Insurance Legislative Update and Chamber General Membership Luncheon" 12-1:30 p.m., Thursday,

July 31, 2014 at Captain George's Seafood Restaurant, Kill Devil Hills

 

Goal of this program is to review the recent changes to the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) as a result of the Biggert-Waters Flood Insurance Reform of 2012 (BW12) and the current Homeowner Flood Insurance Affordability Act of 2014 (HFIAA).

 

Presenter will be Tammy Goodman. Goodman has over twenty years of experience in the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) in all disciplines; system development, underwriting, technical, marketing, training, claims, and management. She has presented numerous continuing education seminars on behalf of IIABA state associations in her territory, and given many presentations regarding recent NFIP legislation to realtors, agents, trade associations, and communities. Tammy was recipient of Selective's Territory Manager of the Year in 2011, IIANC's Company Professional of the Year in 2012, and the Insurors of TN Presidential Citation in 2013.

 

Cost to attend is $25 for Chamber members and $35 for non-members. Admission includes lunch and program.
