Hello, I hope you are safe and well - especially if you live on the East Coast of the U.S., where a Category 2-3 hurricane named Irene will slam on land over the next 3 days, affecting the coastline from North Carolina to New England. This historic storm is bearing down, and will bring massive winds, rain and flooding on a scale that hasn't been seen for at least 50 years. I send all in the line of the storm prayers of protection and peace.

A lot is happening this weekend energetically. First, Mercury is stationing direct today, August 26, 2011. This makes it a better than average time to look back and review things, to ask questions about our inner lives (see below).

We are also at the Midpoint of the 5th Night (August 26-27) of Dr. Carl Calleman's calendar system. (To read about that, check out my previous newsletter here: http://conta.cc/qhssmf ) The timing of Dr. Calleman's system continues to astonish me. It is amazing to me that unusually powerful and stressful events are happening right on schedule, at the Midpoint of the 5th Night.

We also have a New Moon in Virgo on August 28. Virgo holds an Earth Priestess energy, tuning us into earth and the cycles of earth, especially those of the Four Corners - the

The earthquake which erupted earlier this week on the East Coast of the U.S. was a kind of like a wake-up call, a shot across the bow, for many of us who have been sheltered concerning how to prepare for climate gyrations - which are more intense now at this time, the Turning of the Ages, on planet earth.

Hurricanes of this magnitude are rare in this geographic location, revealing that we are all in this together and can learn from, and help, each other. Those who learned hard-won lessons from Katrina are now assisting those in North Carolina and New York and etc. The flooding in New York alone will be quite enormous and the city is not at all well-versed in these matters. Prayer is essential.

Tuning into the Earth and helping to balance the turbulent energies of earth changes is also very, very helpful at this time. Let's focus on balance - for Mother Earth, for Humanity, and for ourselves as individuals.

This is a pivotal weekend. It offers up an opportunity within the chaos. We can tap into the energies swirling around us to train ourselves in how to LEAN INTO THE WINDS OF CHANGE. I have provided below some questions and thoughts that I hope might help us to discern where we might be running AGAINST THE WIND.

Hurricane and Galaxy: As Above So Below

Who has seen the wind? Neither you nor I; but when the trees bow down their heads, the wind is passing by?

What is the difference between a hurricane and our galaxy? They look exactly the same.

What is the difference between the symphonic winds of earth and the celestial-spheres galactic winds? Do they sound similar?

What does a galaxy sound like when seismic gale force winds erupt in space? Does it sound like trees bending under a striking whirlwind?

At the center of our galaxy there is a black hole. What is it like to be in the Eye of the Milky Way? Is it silent and calm like the Eye of a Hurricane?

When we stand in the Eye of Life are we in a kind of vortex black hole of the Now? When the Eye of a Black Hole swallows us up, is it ferocious or is it a blissful experience of quiet Oneness?

Do you understand the vastness of the cosmic dance of All That Is - and the miracle of your dancing within it? :

Do you understand the brevity of this precious life and that each moment is a galactic Ocean of Love?

But while alive, you wait in vain, wasting years, for a phone call or a letter or a look from someone or something to make it all right. And it never comes or it seems to but doesn't really. Are you running Against The Wind? What are you running from? What are you running toward? What are you running against? I.e. what is it that you are resisting? What you resist, persists.

The Order within seeming chaos undulates outward like the arms of a galaxy, and the Divine Will of Love spins out through all of Creation, into the very cells of our being. What is the Divine Will for us? It is All Good Things: joy, peace, LOVE, truth, beauty, abundance, unity. All of these things are what God/Spirit (which lives inside of us) wants for us. The Divine provides these things for us freely and abundantly. They are available to us at any moment in time, with only one requirement: that we drop our resistance and let Divine Love - and Love of all kinds - into our lives.

against the wind What are you running against? Whatever it is externally, it is actually emanating from inside of you. By letting go of resistance to the Flow of All That Is Good, it comes flooding in, on the gentle winds of change. Ways to let go of resistance: meditation, yoga, play, laughter, doing things that bring you joy, hugging, drumming, chanting, creating...and you know the rest, because you already have all of the answers within you.

We can lean into the Winds of Change, instead of fighting them. This is our 5th Night dharma and we can ease into it, helping others as we go.
