6-22-14 Enorrste: ...it has been my view that Maliki was holding off on allowing the float for political reasons.  A weak dinar policy meant that his opponents would not reap the benefit of a rising dinar, assuming they were holders.

My statement Maliki will allow the float is consistent with his own statements and those of Turki.

Turki said just a few days ago that the dinar would enter the world stage late this year or early next year.  He would not say that without Maliki's approval.  Maliki also has stated that he wants the country to prosper and enter the world market.

Monday News Summaries

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry arrives in Baghdad on unannounced visit

"Unannounced" my foot.....maybe the only thing unannounced about this trip of Kerry's was perhaps his time of landing at the Baghdad airport....to keep the terrorists who might be lurking nearby off guard.....maybe he thought it was "unannounced" when he realized that Maliki didn't roll out the red carpet for him....the article says it is "Kerry's second visit to Iraq"....the way I see that is it is "only Kerry's second visit to Iraq"......quite a different emphasis......there hasn't been a great deal of concern for Iraq in the past 18 months....until now.....and this trip....well Kerry is merely the errand boy...."we don't want to see you in office for a third term Maliki".......that comes from on top.

Intimidation, Cronyism, Repression:

The Unfortunate Legacy of Iraq's Nouri al-Maliki

There are many factors underlying last week's spectacular collapse of the Iraqi security forces and the quick sweep of Sunni militants through Mosul and other parts of northern Iraq.

The militants, led by fighters from the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), took advantage of the vacuum created by the civil war in Syria; financing from individual donors and tacit support from some officials in the Gulf Arab states; growing resentment among Iraq's Sunni minority against the Shiite-led government in Baghdad; and the failure of Iraqi leaders to create a functional political system.

But it's prime minister Nuri al-Maliki who bears the greatest blame for the catastrophe unfolding in Iraq today.
~~~
This past weekend articles talked about the U.S. administration would like that Ayad Allawi to take over as prime minister for the next government and put pressure on the political blocs to accept him as an acceptable candidate to the majority of the parties.
Americans are now conducting intensive contacts with the leaders of political blocs and pushing them and with a number of regional countries, except Iran and some of its allies from the Europeans, in attempt to form a partnership government in Iraq, headed by Iyad Allawi, who is accepted by Arab, American and European..
If  Maliki can't somehow weasel, convince or threaten his way back into the prime minister position for a 3rd term, he will instead submit Tariq Najim for the post of prime minister  for the State of Law Coalition. I do not believe he will not have much of a chance since the other candidates far outweigh his popularity and are not associated with the State of Law coalition which is like a sour lemon on most taste buds these days....lol....(especially after this last outbreak of violence). I might add also add that no one can stop the State of Law from submitting a candidate to parliament for the PM however in my opinion it is a total waist of their time and just another show and tell ploy by Maliki to may us believe his party still has some credibility.
UU0024 - 7 Days Remaining
Hi Everyone,
I come to you today to give you an updates on the progress of rebuilding this new Iraq government  and how it all relates to our revaluation process of the IQD.
Today's News
First let me reiterate once again that the violence now going on in Iraq threatens  to destabilize the entire country and to stretch beyond the Iraqi border.  This violence is intentional by the Maliki government and will not end as long as Maliki remains prime minister during this time of provisional government. There must be a crack down and the Iraq army has the full resources to do it. So why don't they just do it?
How to Give Property to Children
Parents have a number of reasons for making gifts to children. First, a parent should have sufficient resources for retirement and for long-term care needs before making substantial gifts. Once you have acquired a reasonable level of security, you might consider making gifts to children.
Your gifts to children will enable two types of education. First, your children will have the ability to learn to manage and hopefully invest the gifts to start building their estate. In addition, you will be able to understand better how a child will manage or use the gift property.
Thoughts From Backdoc at KTFA : "The Lead Dog"
backdoc  June 23rd, 2014, 12:26 am
THE FOLLOWING ARE MY OWN THOUGHTS AND OPINIONS
THE LEAD DOG
WHEN DOGS ARE IN A PACK, THERE IS ALWAYS ONE THAT RISES UP TO BE THE ALPHA DOG. THESE DOGS EXHIBIT AGGRESSIVE BEHAVIOR TO GAIN DOMINANCE OVER THE PACK.
TO AN EXTENT, WE ARE NOW IN THAT WAITING GAME OF DRAMA TO SEE WHO BECOMES THAT LEADER IN IRAQ. THE CBI'S EMBARRASSMENT OVER A DYSFUNCTIONAL GOI IS IN PART A RESULT OF FACING GENERATIONAL HABITS OF TRIBAL STRIFE.
 Update on Iraq  June 21, 2014   By Dr. Stephen Jones
 Yesterday it was reported that al Sistani, the spiritual leader of the Shiites in Iraq, is now calling for al Maliki to step down rather than seek a third term as Prime Minister.
 I am always a little skeptical and cautious about news reports or rumors coming out of Iraq, but this is now being reported by the mainstream media as well.
Since Maliki himself is a Shiite from a Shiite political party, it hardly seems possible that the parliamentarians from his party would ignore his call and nominate Maliki when they meet next week.
So it appears that al Sistani has given Maliki the kiss of death.
Their Constitution, by the way, dictates that they are supposed to meet within 15 days of the ratification of the elections (June 16).
~~~

islandg1211:If Maliki wants a third term, yet his own party wants Chalibi, and the IMF, CBI, UN and the US want a stable government - which implies following Iraq's Constitutional election proceedures, wouldn't Maliki have to be nominated, then elected by the new seated government and not by any agreement?

Last time, Maliki lost the election, stayed on to contest it, got a an agreement out of Bidon, and everyone suffered. That being said, wouldn't Maliki really being pushing to get the CBI to come out with a reality rate this week so he could take credit and actually get himself properly nominated for PM?

Frank26:   Friend ........ It it difficult to guesstimate M's thinking because he rarely does. It is more instinctual. Evil thoughts usually are. Without logic nor consideration of the outcome.

As I said on M / T and Sat CC's .......... What truly happened in Mosul has now given the Kurds back their land and then the other 6 results we mentioned that blossomed too.............

THREE DOG NIGHT LYRICS
"Joy To The World"

Jeremiah was a bull frog
Was a good friend of mine
I never understood a single word he said
But I helped him drink his wine
And he always had some mighty fine wine

Singin'
Joy to the world
All the boys and girls, now
Joy to the fishes in the deep blue sea
Joy to you and me

If I were the king of the world
Tell you what I'd do
I'd throw away the cars and the bars and the wars
Make sweet love to you

HMMM...HOW MUCH?

$15,000 for the basic but in-depth report. $30,000 to include the mechanical/mathematical calculations. You could use the study to evaluate the validity of you own position and the validity of your claims. For and additional $15,000, if you would like, we could provide review the spiritual tradition perspectives as well. This would make for a very scholarly presentation in the best sense of the word.

AND FOR REALLY EASY PAYMENTS OF NOT 5, NOT 4, BUT (WAIT FOR IT...) THREE, YES 3 EASY PAYMENTS, I WILL SEND YOU A FLUFFY ANIMAL THAT SAYS "EVERYTHING'S ALL RIGHT...GO TO SLEEP" OVER AND OVER. I WILL NOT EVEN CHARGE SHIPPING AND HANDLING.

Your assertions and claims create a deep sense of fear-mongering, and you would shut out nearly 90% of the world population living within a 100 miles of the coastlines that are most in need of reconstruction funds. Is this a way of dropping out of project funding in that there actually is no money, or would you prefer to play the Chicken Little the Sky is Falling game and run for the cave.

Greetings and Salutation:

That is pretty much (not exactly) how it will play out.  The only piece he (Tlar's TImeline) left out was the passing of the budget of 2014/2015.

 All looks very good ahead.   Here some some things to watch for:

    The naming of the President of the new parliament

    Immediately after that, the official naming of the new Prime Minister (FYI, it will not be Maliki under any condition)

    The passing of the budget

    The closing of the borders (this may or may not happen as this all will go down very fast)

 Many are sill predicting Maliki will remain in power, but I will stick to my post from last Tuesday. Each and every day gets more exciting. This very well could be a great upcoming holiday.   Blessing to all. Steve  (Peoples Dinar)

What rich people worry about

US News By Tom Sightings   June 20, 2014 3:35 PM   Gloomy outlook

You might think that people with a lot of money would be immune from the everyday worries that gnaw at regular, middle class people. And to some extent you would be right. But they worry more than you think -- often about the same things that keep us up at night, and sometimes about other issues that don't even make it onto our radar. Here are eight money worries of the top 10 percent:

Having enough money for retirement. A recent survey by Lincoln Financial Group showed that 53 percent of the people they surveyed worry about having enough money for retirement. So, what about the well-off retirees who have over $1 million saved up for their golden years? Still, 48 percent of millionaires admit they worry about having enough money to live out their years in comfort. Apparently, having more does not relieve you of the anxiety about having enough.
