CrossRef Metadata Services (CMS) Opt-Out Notice
Dear CrossRef Member,

The following organization has indicated its intention to enter into a CrossRef Metadata Services agreement with CrossRef.

Plum Analytics

According to the CMS affiliate agreement, which you may view at

CrossRef will make available all metadata in its database with the exception of any metadata that a member publisher wishes to exclude. Further information about CrossRef Metadata Services is also available at

About Plum Analytics

http://www.plumanalytics.com

Plum Analytics is applying usage and social media metrics to research output, including scholarly articles. This allows for the following: institutions to use new data to promote the impact of the research that their researchers are producing; funding bodies to understand the more general impact of the research they fund; and publishers to provide more value to present and potential authors. Plum plans on using Enhanced CrossRef Metadata Services to match DOIs with bibliographic metadata and vice-versa, and will include links to publisher full content via the DOI.

What you need to do

If you would like to exclude any or all of your metadata, please return the following opt-out form:

http://www.crossref.org/08downloads/cms_opt_out_form_plum.pdf

If you would like us to share all your deposited metadata with this affiliate, you do not need to do anything in response to this email, although please be sure to read the above opt-out form thoroughly.

Note that the Affiliate may or may not make use of metadata provided, according to the needs of the service in question (that is, making your metadata available does not guarantee that it will actually be used by this service).

Please send the form in by fax to CrossRef (+1-781-295-0077) or email no later than September 6, 2012. Publishers providing an excluded journal title list are also asked to submit this list in electronic form via email to scollins@crossref.org.
Publishers who have opted-out globally out of CrossRef Metadata Services can disregard this notice.

Sincerely,
Susan
