Menden Freiman

 Welcome

Senior Attorney, Bridget W. Christian

MendenFreiman LLP is pleased to announce that Bridget W. Christian has joined the firm as a Senior Attorney in its Estates, Trusts, and Business practice areas.

Previously of Hoffman & Associates, LLC, and Johnson and Christian, LLC, Bridget specializes in the areas of wills, trusts, charitable giving, probate, business representation and buy/sell agreements.  She is known for her ability to navigate complex and contentious estate issues and for bringing rival family factions to agreement over the distribution of assets, especially where a family business or large real estate holdings are involved.

Notable recent matters include:

  • Successfully challenged the IRS on an estate valuation issue, saving $3 million in estate taxes, and
  • Formulated a plan that resolved sibling issues related to a large family business where only one of the children was involved.

Bridget received her undergraduate degree from Clemson University and her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Akron School of Law, where she graduated cum laude.  While in Law School, Bridget was the Associate Editor of the Akron Law Review.  She also clerked for Justice Deborah L. Cook of the Ohio Supreme Court and Judge John W. Reece of the Ninth District Ohio Court of Appeals.  She was admitted to the Georgia Bar in 1998.

Bridget is a member of the Georgia, Atlanta and American Bar Associations, the Business and Fiduciary Sections of the Georgia Bar, the Young Lawyers Division of the Georgia Bar, the Probate and Trust Section of the American Bar, the Atlanta Estate Planning Council, and the Estate Planning Council of North Georgia.
