scorpio eclipse revisited

It is said that "Scorpio is engaged in a never-ending inner battle, fighting against physical, emotional and mental problems. - Torkum Saraydarian, 'Symphony of the Zodiac'

November 28, 2012. To honor the Penumbral (Appulse)Lunar Eclipse on November 28, 2012, we can review its companion, the Total Solar Eclipse in Scorpio on November 13/14, 2012. As you will see from the pictures below, the Scorpio POWER of this eclipse came through loud and clear in breathtakingly beautiful images which reveal the beauty of the shadow, which is waiting patiently for us to release its light.

I am including some thoughts on the highest soul-level potential of the sign of Scorpio along with these pictures - for contemplation, meditation and revelation. Revelation is the message of the Partial Lunar bookend eclipse on November 28, 2012, which will be explored in Part 4 of this newsletter series.

Saturn - the Great Initiator, the One Who Tests Our Readiness - is now in the sign of Scorpio, charging the Nov 13/14 Total Solar Eclipse with unusually powerful potential for transformation into a higher Light Quotient. Keep in mind that these influences will last for at least 6 months.

You can think back to your experience under this Total Solar Eclipse, and for the past two weeks, and ask yourself the Scorpio questions concerning your own demons and your battle with your own shadow side. We almost always project our demons outward, but in the final analysis they are ours alone. To form your questions, you will find some thoughts and images below that may inspire you.

To accompany the images, here is a video compilation of the November13/14  Total Solar Eclipse, whose shadow fell over Australia: http://youtu.be/7_n23MsDqws

the burning ground

Of all the signs in the zodiac, Scorpio is the one known as THE BURNING GROUND. In the ancient wisdom teachings Scorpio is depicted as the "Flaming Sword" which guards the inner temple where rest the Secrets of Creation.

the turning point

"Scorpio is the great constellation which influences THE TURNING POINT both in the life of humanity and the life of the individual human being. The tests of Scorpio are necessarily three in nature as they concern intimately the readiness of the threefold personality:  (1) To reorient itself to the life of the soul. (2) To evidence readiness for initiation. (3) To demonstrate sensitivity to the Plan thus becoming the one-pointed disciple in Sagittarius. http://bit.ly/U5TvqT

we rise by kneeling

In esoteric tradition, the myth known as the Labors of Hercules contains 12 Labors that test the hero's worthiness for selfless service to Humanity and entrance into higher levels of consciousness. The 8th Labor is the task of Scorpio and finds Hercules slaying the 9-headed serpent - THE HYDRA

The 9 heads of the Hydra represent each of the trouble areas that beset any human seeking self-mastery. Three of these heads symbolize misplaced desire associated with sex, money and comfort. Another three concern the passions of fear, hatred and desire for power. The last three heads represent the vices of the un-illumined mind: pride, separateness and cruelty.

As Hercules cuts off one head, two more take its place, symbolizing the ubiquitous forms of the lower self which rear their heads and only worsen under direct attack. Quickly becoming overwhelmed, Hercules has an intuitive flash and recalls his teacher's words, "WE RISE BY KNEELING." He lifts the monster into the air and it gradually weakens. Separated from its place in the mud and mire of the bog (symbolizing our deluded belief that we are separate from the Divine and each other) and raising it to the Light of the Soul - it essentially dies.

Hercules has to employ humility, courage and discrimination to deal with his foe, which is symbolic of the demons that lurk in our own subconscious. The Scorpion task is actually an enormous cleansing process, rooting out and eradicating the baser twists of mind found within our own dark recesses. To acknowledge their existence is the necessary first step. Confronting ~ even embracing ~ the shadow is the task before us all. http://bit.ly/QEIG2p

In Scorpio we must conquer pride of our personality and kneel in front of the Higher Self and higher values. We must raise all of our problems to the light of our spiritual Self and conquer them. - Torkum Saraydarian, 'Symphony of the Zodiac'

a warrior's creed

Scorpio is a Warrior, battling against the forces of inertia that hold him back and the lower negative emotions that weigh him down. We are all engaging in such a battle. The mantra for Scorpio, and for each of us, is: Warrior am I, and from the battle I emerge triumphant.

 A WARRIOR'S CREED

I have no parents - I make the heavens and earth my parents.

I have no home - I make awareness my home.

I have no life or death - I make the tides of breathing my life and death.

I have no divine power - I make honesty my divine power.

I have no means - I make understanding my means.

I have no magic secrets - I make character my magic secret.

I have no body - I make endurance my body.

I have no eyes - I make the flash of lightning my eyes.

I have no ears - I make sensibility my ears.

I have no limbs - I make promptness my limbs.

I have no strategy - I make 'unshadowed thought' my strategy.

I have no designs - I make 'seizing opportunity by the forelock' my design.

I have no miracles - I make right-action my miracles.

I have no principles - I make adaptability to all circumstances my principles.

I have no tactics - I make emptiness and fullness my tactics.

I have no talents - I make ready wit my talent.

I have no friends - I make my mind my friend.

I have no enemy - I make carelessness my enemy.

I have no armor - I make benevolence and righteousness my armor.

I have no castle - I make immovable-mind my castle.

I have no sword - I make absence of self my sword.

A warrior acknowledges his pain, but he doesn't indulge in it.  Thus, the mood of a warrior, who enters into the unknown, is not one of sadness.  On the contrary, he feels joyful because he feels humbled by his great fortune, confident that his spirit is impeccable, and above all, fully aware of his efficiency. A warrior's joyfulness comes from having accepted his fate, and from having truthfully assessed what lies ahead of him. The life of a warrior cannot possibly be cold and lonely and without feelings because it is based on his affection, his devotion, his dedication to his beloved. A warrior's love is the world.which we quiver forever. - Carlos Casteneda
