How to Craft a Proposal to Foundation
Tuesday, April 22
8:30 am - 12:00 pm

Proposal writing is the single skill most sought- after by savvy nonprofit managers.  On the one hand writing a grant proposal is quite simple and follows a basic formula.  On the other hand, this may be your only chance to put the case for funding your organization in front of a foundation.  So you want to be sure to do it right.  This basic introduction provides invaluable tips on what your proposal narrative and budget should include, how to let your funder take the lead, and the best advice on writing and submission techniques.

Our presenter Judith Margolin is an independent consultant, workshop and webinar leader on foundations and grants.  She served as Vice President for Planning and Evaluation at the Foundation Center, the nation's leading authority on philanthropy, for a number of years.  She has devoted her career to philanthropy and is dedicated to helping nonprofit organizations secure the funding they require to fulfill their valuable missions.  She is the author of several books, including The Individual's Guide to Grants and Financing a College Education and has served as editor of multiple editions of the Foundation Center's how-to books, including Foundation Fundamentals, Guide to Proposal Writing, Grantseeker's Guide to Winning Proposals, and After the Grant. Co-sponsored by the Community Foundation of Eastern CT.
