James P. & Mary E. Shea Perpetual Trust.

Grant Seeking Workshop

Did you know that the library has access to information on 100,000 grantmakers and 2.3 million grants?  Grant funds for individual endeavors such as education, research and business pursuits are not that easy to find.  Attend this class to learn about the Foundation Grants to Individuals database, GrantSpace.org and other helpful resources.  A working knowledge of the Internet and Windows are needed for this hands-on session.  Space is limited to 10 people and preregistration is required.

Mystery Book Club - Cocaine Blues

Community Knit 
Every Thursday, 10:00 am - 11:30 am

Learn the healing and calming effects of knitting and crocheting.
Socialize with others with the same interest.
Help others by either teaching someone to knit or
making something needed by a child, a senior citizen,
or a homeless person.

Bring your knitting materials!  Some materials may be

Time Out! Book Club - The Book Thief

Moms- Need a little break? Join the TIME OUT Book Club. Friday, January 31, 2014 at 10:30am. Bring the children to play while we discuss this month's book, "The Book Thief". Books will be available for checkout at the circulation desk with your valid library card. Coffee and snacks will be served.

Raising Readers 
Friday, January 24 and Friday, January 31  
10:00 am - 11:00 am 
 

Raising Readers is a club that was developed to help parents and caregivers of children ages birth-8 support their children's literacy development through the many opportunities that arise  

each day. The club offers eight informal, informational sessions  

covering a variety of topics. All registered participants will receive  

a new, free book at each session.  

 

Scheduled Sessions: Fridays from 10am-11am on the following Fridays:

December 6, 13, 20: January 3, 10, 17, 24, 31 at the Public Library  

of New London in the Community Room.
