Run or walk for women
At the Women's Centre, we believe that all women must have their basic needs met. Join us on June 1 for the Calgary Marathon to help us reach our goal of raising $20,000 for our Basic Needs program. Race options include a 5km run or walk, 10km, half marathon or full marathon. Everyone is welcome!

Leading up to the big race day, you will be encouraged to ask friends, family, neighbours, co-workers (or anyone you can think of!) to sponsor your participation. If you are unable to join us for the event but are able to help us reach our goal, please click here.

This year, for the first time ever, the Women's Centre will be giving away some very exciting prizes to top fundraisers including round trip airfare for two to any scheduled WestJet destination, two round trip VIA Rail passes, a spa package at Swizzlesticks Salon & Spa, and fitness classes at Burlesque Burn. Click here for registration instructions and full contest details.
Update from the Social Issues Committee
Are you interested in learning more about how the Women's Centre works for change? Our Social Issues Committee is a group of dedicated volunteers and community members who work on women's issues and giving women a voice on policy and social issues. From community engagement projects, and marches, events and rallies, to women's issues workshops and poverty reduction work, the Social Issues Committee works to address  issues impacting the lives of women in our city. Thank you for making our new home possible!
We are so thrilled to finally be able to call the space at 39-4 St NE our new home! And the only thing that's bursting at the seams of the new Women's Centre is our excitement! Our move wouldn't have been possible without the generous support of the community. A tremendous thank you goes out to everyone who donated time, energy and resources to help make it all possible. Leave a thank you comment here for the many donors who made this dream a reality. To see photos from the move, click here.

This is a very exciting time for us and we would love to share it with you! Come celebrate the opening of our new space at our Grand Opening on May 14! Or feel free to come for a visit and tour anytime during our regular hours.
