2014 World IP Day

AIPLA Will Host World IP Day Events
in Eight US Cities and on Capitol Hill

World IP Day is Saturday, April 26.  Because April 26 is a Saturday, we're celebrating throughout this week, and concluding with our programs in Alexandria and on Capitol Hill on April 28.

For 2014, the theme for the event is "Movies: A Global Passion". This year, the theme looks "behind the scenes" to find out how IP rights shape the filmmaker's journey from script to screen, how film producers attract investors, how screenwriters and actors earn a living, and how innovation is pushing the frontiers of creativity in the industry.  We are working with the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA), WIPO and the US Patent and Trademark Office on these events.

See what is in store in each location, and plan to attend! A BIG THANK YOU TO OUR LOCAL SPONSORS FOR SUPPORTING EACH EVENT.

In addition to these events, AIPLA, the US Patent & Trademark Office, and WIPO will host an event on Capitol Hill on Monday, April 28, to educate members of Congress and their staffs about the importance of intellectual property in today's creative society.
