NEWS AND RESOURCES
Honoring Volunteers in April

The 40th annual National Volunteer Week takes place April 6-12 and is "...about inspiring, recognizing and encouraging people to seek out imaginative ways to engage in their communities. It's about demonstrating to the nation that by working together, we have the fortitude to meet our challenges and accomplish our goals."

Volunteers amplify the work of libraries in many different ways, particularly as reading tutors. In partnership with the Campaign for Grade-Level Reading, please join the national effort to honor these inspiring individuals. Create awareness in your community and join the national campaign!

The report also includes a tool that can be used to explore key youth workforce indicators for each of the 100 largest U.S. metropolitan areas. Read the report.
