The Nursery Program at Harley

Nursery Yellow is diving into the exploration of sound and vibration.  The students are filling balloons with different materials, then filling with them with air, to hear what sounds are made.  They are using their instruments to accompany a lively reading of Chicka Chicka Boom Boom!

Worried about the cost of tuition?

Ask about our Acorn Grant program.  This new grant program helps supplement parents' investment in education.  The Harley School will offer grants of up to maximum of $5,000 per student for families who qualify. It is available for students in Nursery through Grade 12.

Financial aid is also available for Nursery through Grade 12 Students.

Dear Families,

The Harley School is currently enrolling students for academic year 2014-15.  We have space available in Nursery (age 3) through Grade 12.

Our students have been occupied in a variety of project based learning opportunities that combine concepts in engineering with creativity.

Join us for our next Open House for Grades 5-12 on Sunday, March 23 at 2:30 p.m. or call for a personal tour (offered daily) to see our students and faculty in action.

I look forward to meeting your family.

Warmly,

Ivone Foisy

Middle School Students Design Vertical Hydroponic Watering Device in our new Living Building

The Seventh Grade class has embarked on a plant science-engineering project in The Commons greenhouse.  These middle school scientists were asked to design a vertical hydroponic growing system.  Students worked in teams to create their initial design.  As students built their models they encountered various challenges they had to solve as a team.

Over the next week students will finalize their models, measure plant growth, and make changes as they see fit.  We will take the top performing models and build them large scale for use in our green house.
At Harley our teachers provide students with authentic work that challenges and encourages them to push their limits.

This kind of engaging instruction, balanced with the ability to build trusting relationships with our faculty, starts in our three year old Nursery program.

Come see our school.

You will be inspired!
