Girl Scouts of the USA (GSUSA) has declared this centennial year as the "Year of the Girl" - A celebration of girls and recognition of their leadership potential. GSGLA members can look forward to a year of special centennial activities and celebrations as we mark 100 years of building girls of courage, confidence and character that make the world a better place. The 2012 Annual Meeting & Volunteer Recognition (AMVR) Ceremony is Saturday April 14, 2012 at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles. GIRL SCOUTS 100TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION - MARCH 12
It’s our birthday! Let’s celebrate with cake! On our anniversary, Monday, March 12, 2012, all Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles Service Centers will host a birthday celebration and cake contest. Troops and volunteers are invited to design a birthday cake and/or submit a video story. Click here to view the flier.

2012 COOKIE PROGRAM
The 2012 Cookie Program is now in full swing! Initial orders are happening now. Troop deadline to submit initial orders is February 5, 11:30pm. Service Unit deadline is February 7, 11:30pm. Boothing begins March 2, 2012!  To help make this year's Cookie Season successful, troops are armed with the eBudde system, the eBudde Booth Sales app (see below), the Cookie Club, the Cookie Locator app and more! HUNGER AWARENESS WORKSHOP
Feeding and caring for one's family has become very difficult for many in our own community. People all around us are struggling to survive financially. Juniors, Cadettes and Brownies will spend a few hours in someone else's shoes. GSGLA is offering these workshops that will focus on everyday living situations to demonstrate the many ways that people go hungry in Los Angeles County. Click here for more information.
