Frank's Motivation
Being Held Accountable
Last month, I talked about how best way to succeed is to make your resolutions known to others, to be accountable for your goals. In order to practice what I preach, I, and the rest of the Workout 32789 wanted to share with you our New Years Resolutions...
Frank:
- Read a new book every month (I am a tragically slow reader and having a grow list of books that I need to make a dent in).
- Learn to cook more meals at home and expand my family's pallet. Especially with my baby Kennedy, as she grows up I want her to taste and try different foods.
- Find events and activities to participate in on my off-time, seminars, workshops, etc., so that I can better myself and become more well rounded.
Judi
- Keep a gratitude journal on a daily basis..even if its only one sentence there is always something to be grateful for.
- At the beginning of each month write out 3 goals( one family related, one business related and one personally related) ...check and see how I did at the end of each month. It may not happen but if I write them down there is a better chance of it getting done!
- Foam roll before each and every workout...I really don't like to take the extra 5 minutes but I know how beneficial it is..
Diane
Chris:
- Personal family life spend more time with the boys being active (meaning at least once a week doing something together active w/no technology disruptions.)
- Diet wise cut sugar intake & nix coffee :-/
- Physically for myself I want to challenge myself & step outside of my normal routines. Example orange theory (I hate classes or being a participant in group classes funny I know. I like to be in control or on my own)
Hopefully this will motivate you to stick with your resolutions! Feel free to share them with us so that we can help you nail your goals!
-Frank

Recipe of the Month
Edamame, Cranberry,
& Feta Salad
makes 6 servings
Fresh, simple ingredients make a big statement. When cooking with quality ingredients the flavor cannot be topped. This recipe was totally inspired from a simple edamame salad in Fresh Market. It seemed just too easy to purchase the ready prepared salad, and I knew it would be more fun and rewarding to recreate it myself.
2 cups frozen shelled edamame
2 cups dried cranberries
1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
freshly grated pepper to taste
1 cup crumbled feta cheese
Toss edamame and cranberries together with olive oil and pepper until combined. Gently stir in the feta cheese. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
Recipe submitted by Kristina LaRue, Dietitian and one of the Coaches of the Jump$tart Fitness Challenge.
