Focus group for sales and service employers

ecstatic-shopping-bags.jpg WPH is currently working on a project highlighting sales and service occupations in Hamilton.  There is strong growth in these occupations and many advancement opportunities; however, a common perception is that these are 'dead end' jobs.

In mid-February we are hosting a focus group with Hamilton sales and service employers to discuss challenges and opportunities in this occupational sector.

If you are an employer in retail trade, food services, accommodation or other services, and are interested in participating in a focus group, please contact Sarah Hosick at 905-521-5777 or [email protected] for more information.
New StatsCan Study: Many older Canadians who leave long-term jobs do not fully retire

bearded-man-smiling.jpg By tracking older workers' employment status in the decade after they left their jobs, StatsCan found that more than half of Canadian workers aged 55 to 64 who left their jobs between 1994 and 2000 were re-employed within a decade.
