Learning Skills: Research Using Databases
 
Research databases are an essential part of undergraduate studies, but they can be tricky to navigate. Susan Evans from Research and Information Services at Cardinal Carter Library will lead this workshop where students will learn how to choose and use the right database to find scholarly articles for their research.

The King's Players are proud to present this year's King's University College musical production: Little Shop of HorrorsLittle Shop of Horrors is a comedy/horror rock musical that tells the story of Seymour Krelborn, a young worker in a florist's shop who raises a mysterious plant. When the plant starts gaining attention and fame things seem to be looking up for Seymour, until he learns that the plant's food of choice is human flesh.

King's Cultural Festival is the largest multicultural event on campus. It features up to 100 performers, cultural booths and draws up to 300 attendees. 

 

The event will take place on Thursday, February 6th, 2014, 7:00-10:00 p.m. in Darryl J. King Student Life Centre. All are welcome!

Career Sessions for International Students
 

Attend Group Career Counselling Sessions for help and guidance in finding and keeping employment in Canada. Co-hosted by King's Counselling & Student Development and King's International.

 

Participants: 15 undergraduate and graduate International students looking for non-academic employment in Canada


Topics: Understanding the cultural context of working in Canada, identifying skills employers value, job search and self promotion strategies, creating effective resumes and maintaining employment 

 

Length: This program consists of six sessions, each 2 hours in length (participants must attend all six sessions)

 

Time and Location: Wednesdays, 12:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. (January 29th, February 5th, 12th and 26th, and March 5th and 19th) in the Instruction Room, Cardinal Carter Library
