The NGLCC is excited to announce that Barbara Corcoran, a woman who built her business from a $1000 loan and sold it in 2001 for $66 million, will be keynoting the
2012 National Business and Leadership Conference!
Corcoran established New York real estate firm the Corcoran Group in 1973 and earned just $12,000 in annual revenue, but steadily grew the brokerage to more than 800 agents and $4 billion in annual revenue by 2000.
After almost three decades, Corcoran chose to sell the business and transition to become an author, motivational speaker, and television personality. Most notably, Barbara contributes to NBC's
Today Show and the ABC reality show
Shark Tank. She authors regular columns in the
New York Daily News and
MORE Magazine.
Recently, she graced the cover of
Entrepreneur Magazine (above) and she was a distinguished speaker at the
Inc. Women's Summit in December. In an interview with
Oprah Magazine, Corcoran shared her characteristic down-to-earth attitude when she admitted: "I'd rather make a big mistake and recover than live a lifetime of regret."
