Sunday School Classes - Adults
 Ephesians
Starting 1/5/14 in the Sanctuary
The letter to the Ephesians is so rich that I can't decide on what to title our upcoming Sunday School study of it starting January 5, 2014.  I guess I'll have to go with all three that I've come up with since I can't seem to choose between them.  My first title is "Ephesians:  You Can Now What God Wants You to Do Here and Now!".  The second is:  "Ephesians:  The Most Important Book in the New Testament (other than the Gospels) for Today!"  And the third, "Ephesians:  The Making of God's Counter-Cultural Movement."
So, if you what to discover your God-given vocation in this world you live in, Ephesians is the one place to look to find it for it is the central place in the Bible where God has made this clear!  Hope to see you there!  Co-taught by the Rev. Jonathan Jehorek and the Rev. Lee Wyatt.

Living the Gospel: A Study of Galatians
In the middle of a culture presenting multiple variations of Christianity, how can we know which is the "true gospel" ?  Is the gospel a means to having your best life now?  Is it a prescribed way of life that gains us God's favor or entry into heaven?  Is it a passageway to true freedom?  And does it really matter?  If I believe Jesus died for me, isn't that enough, after all, can you really get the gospel wrong?  The Apostle Paul thought so.
For Paul, taking hold of the true gospel, in the midst of people teaching false gospels, was critical.  This is his point in his letter to the Galatians.  He teaches that if we want real freedom, joy and purpose in all aspects of life, the key is not believing something about Jesus, but believing the right things about him.  Led by Teaching Elder, Shelley Kral, this study of Galatians will seek to discover what those right things are and how they make all the difference in our families, friendships, professions and pursuits.   This topic begins 1/12 in the Trinity Hall classroom.

Matthew - The Sermon on the Mount - taught by Wilson Cunha
will continue  - but has moved to the Sanctuary Classroom (the Carlton Room)

Joshua - taught by Leonard Wiley - will continue in the Choir Room.
