My family returned after 10 days away in the New York area attending a retreat and visiting with my wife's family. I was so happy to see them!
My son ran over to me and gave a big hug and after getting settled, I took him to a celebration that was being held for the men who completed the men's retreat I helped with the weekend before.
It was great seeing them again and celebrating them but it was special to have my son there. I took to dinner afterwards to a Chinese buffet I know he likes (and I don't particularly care for). Oh the sacrifices we sometimes make!

Career Management Mistakes: 10 Things You May Be Doing Wrong and MUST Stop Doing
| |
Most of the time, I focus on helping job hunters find work by helping them correct mistakes they make when managing their job search. But that is a battle that most people face every few years.
Career management is a lifetime responsibility you have to yourself and your Board of Directors (your family). Unless you take it seriously, your career will lurch from job to job with no forethought or planning. You may wind up successful but it will be by accident, rather than by design.

A few people have emailed me and asked whether I could send them a weekly list of jobs I am recruiting for. I have enough to do with my family, work and efforts to support two non-profit groups where if people aren't interested in it, I don't need to take on "pointless work."
Would it be helpful if I did that or is just having it on my website enough?
Email me at jeffaltmansearch@gmail.com and write "yes," or "no" in the subject line.
