It is almost a rerun of my last message to you . . . My family just returned from a trip to the New York area where my wife attended a Buddhist festival and my son spent time with friends. They returned Sunday and it was wonderful seeing them after being apart for 10 days.

I have been publishing my own books and others to Kindle and Nook platforms and decided to start print publishing, too. I am just about done publishing our first book in print, "Wise Men Look" through Amazon. I expect it to be available this weekend.

Recruiting The Facebook Generation

I've been a recruiter since 1972 and have checked many references.

I remember the first time someone mentioned Facebook to me. It was about 6 years ago (I think). He was a Brown graduate working in advertising and suggested that it would be a great place to connect with folks. After receiving an invitation from him, I joined and looked around and didn't understand it.

Now fast forward and we all know Facebook is not the same as it was back then. It is no longer a platform for people to place pictures of themselves while drunk or high online. It is a cross-generational community. My 11 year old son recently joined. I am there as a 61 year old.

ConsultingAssignments.com is free for job posting, resume posting, resume searches, applying for jobs . . . anything other than having your job listing or resume featured and then it is for a whopping $10. They now offer volume discount programs for featured positions that reduce the cost to as low as $2 per posting.

It offers job leads for contract and full time consulting jobs, as well as temp assignments, temp to perm and contract-to-hire opportunities.

To search the site best, add either "consultant" or "temp" to your search terms.

Post a job lead. Post your resume. It's free.  It's very inexpensive to feature one.
