I was happy to have my wife and son back from Florida where they visited my wife's mother while my son was on break from school. I finished a few small projects and worked all week with the men's group I am involved with and with the group for teen boys on whose board of directors I sit.
It was nice to give hugs to them when they got in and get re-acquainted. They couldn't help but notice the treatment I had on my scalp for some pre-cancerous cells that had been on my head. I brought them up-to-date on some of the follow treatment I'll be getting.
On Easter, we visited a family of a friend of my son's for a lovely afternoon before returning in time for Game of Thrones on HBO. Great series!

I have never heard a former employer say, "Jeff, you would be doing a disservice to your client if you referred this person."

You are probably wasting a lot of time searching job boards for leads. Not that there aren't leads there. You are just doing manually what could be done in an automated fashion. Not that there aren't jobs there but no more than 8 % of jobs are filled by job boards and 25% by recruiters (recruiters often get their applicants from job boards so there is overlap in these two categories).
This means that approximately two thirds of all jobs are not filled by job boards and recruiters and you are spending more than half your time chasing results that will only be successful 1/3 the time.
