Green Community: A Designation Worth Pursuing
Green Needham is actively working on getting Needham designated as a Green Community. There are many benefits to becoming a Massachusetts Green Community - reduced energy costs for the municipality and its residents, economic development, environmental and quality of life improvements - but qualifying for additional funding, even in modest amounts, is always appealing.

Read about one interesting opportunity in this regard, a grant to install electric vehicle charging stations around the state. Why not in Needham??

Needham Farmer's Market: Survey and Next Meeting
Please come to the second meeting to organize a farmers' market in Needham on Monday, November 29th at 7:30 pm atFirst Parish Unitarian Universalist Church, 23 Dedham Avenue, NeedhamAt the meeting we will discuss a strategy for building public support for a farmers' market, a possible January event, and other issues.
