FRIDAY
WORK
ON AVENUE 3E PROJECT AT 32ND STREET TO TAKE DOWN TRAFFIC
SIGNALS; DELAYS POSSIBLE
Yuma,
Ariz. - Traffic signals will be down at Avenue
3E and 32nd Street between 7 a.m. and noon Friday, Aug.
20, in conjunction with the City's 3E road reconstruction project.
This work item had originally been scheduled to take place the day
prior.
Arizona
Public Service (APS) will be changing out lines and connections at
this junction and service will need to be shut down accordingly.
The Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS) will be providing
traffic control at this intersection during the hours of this power
outage.
Motorists
are encouraged to leave early for their destinations if travel
requires crossing this intersection.
No
businesses or residences are expected to be affected by this power
outage, which will affect only the traffic signals at this
intersection and a booster pump station that is not typically used
this time of year.
Additionally,
motorists are encouraged to pay close attention to traffic patterns
on 32nd Street during this period when several projects
are going on simultaneously. Vehicle crashes have been reported in
these construction corridors, where motorists unfamiliar with the
construction are typically used to speed limits of 45 mph and
above. Please pass on reminders of 32nd Street
construction work to friends, associates, co-workers and family
members who tell you they will be traveling in this
