Cafe Con Brio: An Evening at the Daystar Center

ONLINE REGISTRATION HAS CLOSED

BUT STILL FREE TO SHOW UP!

Join us at 1550 S. State for a benefit concert "with spirit."  Enjoy good music, desserts and espresso drinks while supporting the formation of the Daystar Center at 1550 S. State.

Families are welcome from 6:30 to 7:30pm.  At 7:30, the live music will begin.  During the evening, you will get the chance to build community with your neighbors and learn about the Daystar Center.

The Daystar Center is a South Loop hub of educational, cultural and community activities.  Construction will begin shortly.  Come and see the space for yourself!

Music for the Evening Includes:

Dyed In The Wool plays "american folk with a celtic edge."  Check out dyedinthewool.net for more info!
Lautari's style is "Eastern European/Gypsy folk."  You can see video of them playing on Facebook.
Lea and Nicki Giblin will play some hip indy/folk.
John Devlin is an accomplished musical chameleon, fine vocalist, and multi-instrumentalist.  Check him out HERE.
Also, during the family hour from 6:30 to 7:30, Debbie Parks will lead a sing-a-long for the kids.  Debbie teaches music classes for children as young as six months.  Kids of all ages should have loads of fun with her.

We will also display some visual artwork created by Rosalind Yang, an Asian-American photographer and artist extraordinaire.
