Self-Serve Sandbag Station Opens for Rainy Season

With rain returning to the Bay Area, residents can utilize sandbags to help protect homes from flooding. The self-serve sandbag station is located in the McKenzie Park parking lot and is accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, throughout the rainy season.

Los Altos Welcomes New Finance Director

The City welcomes Jessie Kim as its newly appointed finance director. Kim brings more than 14 years of experience in finance to Los Altos, most recently from the city of Berkeley, where she was the accounting manager. She will assume this position on Tuesday, November 12.

The Los Altos Library and the Los Altos Library Endowment are hosting free Science & Technology Week events featuring local author Kiera Chang, who combines science with storytelling. Events occur in the Los Altos Library Orchard Room Wednesday-Friday, November 13-15. Registration is required.
