As we enter this season of gratitude and Thanksgiving, I wanted to share my most recent reason for giving thanks here at Warner Pacific University. On November 10, I was deeply grateful and appreciative to have had an invitation to speak at the Tigard Church of God, located in Tigard, Oregon during its Sunday morning service. And as I prepared for this sermon, I reflected on one of the most challenging tasks for Christians, as well as any person serving in civic or sacred capacities. This task is identifying one’s “north star” or fixed and immovable point from which one seeks the widest application of good for the community one is called to—both within and outside of the faith. Even more so is the privilege to do so in the rich and wonderful tapestry of socioeconomic and racial/ethnic diversity that WPU is uniquely blessed with. And since its founding in 1937, in Spokane, Washington, as Pacific Bible College, Warner Pacific University’s “light,” from which it came into being, takes its governance from and is sustained by is none other than the Lord Jesus Christ. And I—along with so many others here in this community—am honored to be a part of this career and calling that fulfills this wonderful purpose…

"Food For Thought"


In Luke Chapter 5, we see an absolute miracle take place before the fishermen's eyes. After catching no fish for the entire day, they received simple instructions from Jesus that seemed to go against all professional strategies in their industry. Though they were skeptical at first, they followed those directions and after catching nothing most of the day, they now encountered an abundance of fish. There were so many fish, verse 6 tells us that their nets began to break…

Students Working With Purpose


Students Work with Professionals for Restoration Project


A group of Warner students spent a weekend in mid-October volunteering, bonding and collecting data in Mt. Hood.


The service trip was a chance to work alongside conservation experts from Wilderness Volunteers and the Mt. Hood National Forest Ranger on a restoration project for forest, fish and local habitat.

Exciting News: New Partnership to Illuminate Pathways for Students


Warner Pacific University is thrilled to announce a new partnership with Mid-America Christian University (MACU), paving the way for even more opportunities for our students to grow and thrive in their Christian academic journeys.

Get Ready to Celebrate!


Warner Pacific will hold its Winter Commencement exercises on Saturday, December 14 at Sunset Church, 14986 NW Cornell Road beginning at 10:00 am. Help us celebrate our newest class as they take their final walk across the stage.


We're honored to announce that Dr. David Hoag, president of the Council for Christian Colleges & Universities will be on hand as our Commencement Speaker. As well, Pastor Emeritus Glen G. Hossler ('72), District Chair for Church of God Northwest, will serve as our alumni speaker.

Warner Celebrates National Native American Heritage Month
