The time to review and update your voter registration is now

While the November General Election is still several weeks away, the Deschutes County Clerk's Office is recommending that residents review their voter registration online and make sure their information is up to date.


The deadline to register vote is October 15.


Voters with questions can contact the County Clerk’s Office at elections@deschutescounty.gov or 541-388-6547.

Leashes required for dogs on Deschutes County Fair & Expo grounds

The Deschutes County Fair & Expo Center wants to remind dog owners that their four-legged friends must be on a leash while visiting the fairgrounds.

Deschutes County Solid Waste will host its inaugural Drop It, Swap It event on Saturday, September 28 to reduce the amount of waste going into the County landfill.


Residents can drop off their gently used, unwanted items and swap them for items no longer wanted by someone else. It's free!

Food Safety and Sustainability Summit

County Health Services, in partnership with the COCC Cascade Culinary Institute and Love Yourself Nutrition, will be hosting the Inaugural Food Safety Summit on Tuesday, October 15.


It's a chance for the community to deepen their knowledge about food safety, food insecurity and food sustainability.
