Updated Tree Protection Ordinance Goes into Effect this Week

The City Council approved updates to the Tree Protection Ordinance, modifying the definition of a protected tree, the requirements for post-removal replacement trees, and adding zero-cost tree removal permits for dead, diseased, and invasive trees. Regulations go into effect Thursday, March 14.

Agenda Available for Upcoming City Council Meeting

The agenda lists all the items to be discussed during the Tuesday, March 12 meeting. A study session will take place at 6 PM, where the City Council will receive a report on the Development Services Cost of Services (User Fee) Study.

Councilmember Neysa Fligor welcomes the community to her office hours on Friday, March 15, at the Grant Park Multi-Purpose Room from 9:30-11 AM. Her office hours are every third Friday of the month, alternating between the Grant Park Multi-Purpose Room and the Los Altos Community Center.

Non-Profit and Civic Contribution Applications Due in April

Non-profit and civic organizations interested in requesting funding contributions from the City for fiscal year 24/25 must submit required paperwork by Tuesday, April 30. The City Council will allot funds based on established Council priorities and funding constraints.
