Dear Concordia alumni,
God’s grace and peace to you as we step into June and the season of summer. Campus is more quiet than other seasons of the year, but it has been a busy past few weeks at your alma mater. Starting with many commencement festivities in early May and ending with our first Cardinal Connection Day for incoming students and families, the sidewalks have been busy! Between celebrating students who will now fulfill the mission, and welcoming new students into our family, we also hosted the LCMS Theology Professors Conference for multiple days. The faculties of our LCMS seminaries and the theology faculties of our Concordia University System (CUS) schools gathered at CUAA for times of learning, worship, study, and meaningful conversation. What a blessing and honor for us to host them at such a beautiful time of the year!
As our graduates step into new seasons of life, I want to share with all of you that I am also stepping into a new season of ministry. For the past 11 years, it has been an honor and joy to serve on the Concordia University Wisconsin and Ann Arbor team. It is truly amazing to have witnessed and been a part of what God has done in our midst. I will be forever grateful for the privilege of walking with our students and serving alongside gifted Christian colleagues. Even so, we believe God is leading us to a new season and new ministry in a new place.
I have accepted a role on the Concordia University, St. Paul (CSP) team, serving as Senior Development and Church Relations Officer. Due to the nature of this transition, I will conclude my service to CUWAA on June 4, 2024.
Your love and support for your alma mater is evident everyday through your gracious kindness, many prayers, and ongoing generosity. Please continue to engage in the Kingdom work at CUAA. Since 1963, the motto of CUAA has remained the same: Christ First in Everything. Please know that my prayers and love for God’s work in this place will remain, even as I serve Christ in a new way.
Many blessings in Jesus,
