An atmospheric river is projected to bring heavy rain and strong gusty winds Saturday night through Monday morning with a possibility of thunderstorms. The community is encouraged to review the City's storm preparedness resources and create a plan for what to do before, during, and after a storm.

Young Writers to Explore Family History in Annual Essay Contest

Los Altos youth are invited to document their family's journey to California in the 40th Annual Margaret Thompson Historical Essay Contest, inspired by the History Museum exhibit 'El Camino Real: Changing California'. Children grades 3-6 can participate. Essays must be submitted by Friday, March 8.

Sponsorship Opportunities for Summer Concerts Now Available

Parks & Recreation is currently accepting sponsors for the 2024 Summer Concert Series. Packages start at $500 for the seven-concert series. Concerts run June through July. Inquiries can be directed to mprice@losaltosca.gov.

History Museum Hosting South Los Altos Block Party

The Los Altos History Museum is hosting a neighborhood event for South Los Altos on Thursday, February 15, from 5:30-7 PM. This event will explore the area's history with photos and facts on Foothill Plaza, Simla Junction, and more. Registration required. Free to members, $10 for all others.
