Library Tax Exemption Available for Low-Income Seniors

The North County Library Authority offers a tax exemption from its $76 annual tax to low-income seniors. To qualify, individuals must meet the income threshold of $62,450 for single-person households or $71,400 for two-person households. The submittal deadline is Sunday, June 30.

Mayor Issues Proclamation for Earth Day 2024

As we approach the 26th annual National Prescription Drug Take Back Day (Saturday, April 27), residents are reminded that expired or unused prescription medication and sharps can be dropped off at the safe drug disposal kiosks in the Police Department front lobby during regular business hours.

Gas-Powered Leaf Blowers Prohibited in Los Altos

The use of gasoline-powered leaf blowers is not allowed within City limits and, if found in use, the property owner may be subject to an administrative citation. To limit noise and air pollution, as well as avoid fines, electric or battery-powered leaf blowers are encouraged.
