A SPECIAL RETURN TO OUR SCHOOL FAMILY...

CCCHS is excited to announce the return of Turea Moore as the new Assistant Athletic Director for Ironmen Athletics. In addition to her athletic role, Turea will also serve as an educational aide at the school.

Turea’s journey with CCCHS began from 2016 to 2020, during which she coached the Lady Ironmen basketball team and volunteered with the Athletic Department. Her dedication to the Ironmen community is deeply valued.

Most recently, Turea served as the Director of Operations for the women’s basketball program at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee for two years. Prior to that, she spent two seasons as an Event and Operations Graduate Assistant at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside, where she earned her Master of Science in Sport Management. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sport Management from Bowling Green State University.

With a wealth of experience and a passion for athletics, Turea is eager to contribute to the growth and success of CCCHS student-athletes, staff, and the Ironmen community. We are thrilled to have her back on board and look forward to the positive impact she will make!

Welcome back, Turea!

REUNION TIME: ST. JOHN CANTIUS CLASSMATES REUNITE!

The St. John Cantius Class of 1964 gathered this past year for a celebration of their 60th reunion at Rumas Restaurant in North Royalton. The event brought together 20 alumni to reminisce, share fond memories, and enjoy a buffet dinner. The evening was filled with lively conversations, laughter, and a display of school memorabilia, including yearbooks and photographs from past reunions.

A highlight of the reunion was the unveiling of a memorial board, thoughtfully prepared by one of the attendees, to honor the classmates who have passed away. This tribute was a poignant reminder of the enduring friendships formed during their time at St. John Cantius.

In addition to the reunion, the group has maintained a strong bond over the years by meeting regularly. Since 2009, alumni have gathered for breakfast on the third Saturday of each month at Rumas Restaurant. Reminders for these get-togethers are sent out via email, ensuring that the connection between the classmates remains as strong as ever.

The reunion served as another reminder of the close-knit community formed at St. John Cantius, with alumni continuing to celebrate their shared memories and maintain lasting friendships.

SHINING A LIGHT ON OUR FUTURE LEADERS!

COMMEMORATING BLACK HISTORY & CULTURE

February is Black History Month, and Cleveland Central Catholic High School is excited to celebrate in a variety of meaningful ways! This month, we honor and recognize the contributions and achievements of African-American individuals throughout history. It’s an opportunity to reflect on the past, engage with the present, and look ahead to the future.

Our school community will celebrate through a variety of activities, including off-campus lunches from African-American owned establishments, cultural discussions in the classroom, and students will have the opportunity to enjoy cultural foods that highlight the traditions of the African-American community.

From February 24-28th, we will also be hosting African-American Heritage Spirit Week, dedicated to emphasizing, celebrating, and educating each other about African-American culture.
