Happy New Year! As we welcome the arrival of 2024 and the new Spring Semester, we look forward to seeing you at the Museum of Art, which will reopen after the holidays on Tuesday, January 9th. We encourage you to enjoy three recently opened exhibitions: Face Forward: Recent Acquisitions (on view until March 10th), Jim Dine: Last Year’s Forgotten Harvest (on view until June 2nd), and Without Apology: Asian American Selves, Memories, Futures (on view until June 2nd). On January 25th, please join us for a festive opening of Without Apology, featuring the exhibition’s curators, Bowdoin faculty members Connie Y. Chiang, Shruti Devgan, Belinda Kong, Nancy E. This month we also debut a new exhibition, “The Book of Two Hemispheres:” Uncle Tom’s Cabin in the United States and Europe, curated by Sean Kramer, the Museum’s Andrew W. We also invite you to learn more about the outstanding Student Ambassadors who have recently joined the Museum and to delve into an exciting new acquisition, Hong Zhang’s The Eye of the Tornado, 2023, now on view in Threads: Artists Weave Their Worlds.
