Spring 2025 - Are You Prepared?

The Spring 2025 semester balance is due in one week - on January 8th. Be sure your balance is paid in full or you are enrolled in the USA Payment Plan to avoid the risk of being voided from your spring courses.

Living in USA Housing? An outstanding balance may also put you at risk of not being able to remain in your residence hall or utilize your meal plan.

Get Your Textbooks with JagPack

South’s JagPack textbook rental program gives undergraduate students access to all required textbooks, lab manuals, access codes, and electronic book versions in a convenient bundle before or on the first day of class—in most cases, at discounted prices as compared to purchasing or renting items separately.

  • $22 per credit hour
  • The last day to opt out for Spring 2025 is January 20th.
  • Must verify your order beginning one month before classes begin.
  • Must indicate if you would like to pick up your materials or have them shipped.

Use Your JagEats

Beginning fall 2024, all new undergraduate students enrolled in 6 or more on-campus credit hours will automatically have $175 in JagEats funds added to their student account each fall and spring semester.

Just like the meal plan, JagEats funds are on the Jag ID Card and can be used at all USA Dining Services locations including campus food trucks at the Student Center.

1098-T Coming in January

Did you know you may be eligible for a federal education tax credit? All students enrolled in credit courses are required by the IRS to be issued a 1098-T by January 31st each year.

This form notifies you and the IRS of the qualified tuition and related expenses (QTRE) you paid during the preceding tax year that may qualify you or your guardian for educational tax credits.

The Office of Student Accounting provides the 1098-T via PAWS for students who opted in to receive the form electronically. Otherwise, the form is sent through U.S. mail.

Refunds Through Electronic Direct Deposit

South strongly encourages all students to set up their Electronic Direct Deposit (EDD) account in PAWS and keep it up to date each semester.

An EDD will allow for eligible student aid and emergency stipends/awards to be refunded directly to your bank account in a timely and secure manner.

EDD eliminates delays due to address issues with paper checks and helps you avoid a trip to the bank! Click here for more information.
