REMINDERS

  • Withdrawals-- Faculty have three business days after a student has submitted a drop form to respond. This is your chance to have a conversation with the student before they are dropped! Please reach out to students during this time window if you think it is necessary!
  • Registration begins November 6. Please reach out to your advisees about creating a course plan before registration begins! Learn about building course plans here
  • If you haven't done so already, please fill out this Grade Alert Survey to help us improve the process.

FINANCIAL AID CHANGES

The FAFSA is currently undergoing some changes. Here is what to expect:

  • A new form will be available in December 2023
  • Students and parents will need a Federal Student Aid ID# set up before accessing the form. It can take 1-3 days for the ID# to be verified
  • Students will be able to list up to 20 colleges on their application. The previous limit was 10.
  • For students whose parents are divorced, they will report financial information for the parent who provided the most financial support, not the parent with which they resided with the most within the last 12 months.
  • Applicants will be required to use the IRS Direct Data Exchange instead of manually entering their tax information.
  • The term Expected Family Contribution (EFC) will be replaced with Student Aid Index (SAI)
